376-380. Curriculum and Methods of Teaching Grades 7-12. Curriculum, methods and materials for integration and multidisciplinary approaches for teaching:
This course introduces prospective teachers to the job of professional educator. Curriculum will be related to national and State standards, classroom management, student diversity, learning and development, critical thinking, problem solving, active learning and motivation, instructional planning, and assessments. Students will develop lessons for grades 7-12.
- English and Language Arts-reading, listening, speaking and writing;
- social studies
- mathematics
- foreign languages- French and Spanish; or
- science-biology, chemistry, earth science, general science, and physics;
